On stage, the actors have disappeared. All that remain are audio documents, strange characters bearing witness to modern-day orality, and the musicians of the ensemble Ictus. Projected into the theatre space, the words spoken in more than twenty languages enter into gravitation, revealing their musicality. Orchestrated in this way, seemingly ordinary and intentionally disparate situations converge to release their deep inflexions. Far-off, absent voices, familiar or anonymous, sometimes repressed, along with ghosts, a waking dream, exile and its paths… are but some of the figures in this polyphonic theatrum mundi.*
