Avec 100 cymbals, Ryoji Ikeda nous plonge dans les abysses de la vibration. Une expérience d’écoute unique qui marque le lancement du festival dans l’espace démesuré du Hall Rhin.

With 100 cymbals, which is as much a stage performance as it is an audiovisual installation, Ryoji Ikeda showcases the polyphonic potential of cymbals, navigating the fine line between noise and harmonic resonance. The work is an infinite crescendo, leading from an almost imperceptible murmur to the roar of the final fortississimo. This concert articulated around the relationship between musical creation and the visual arts opens with the musical portrait that John Cage dedicated to Strasbourg-born painter and sculptor Hans Arp, co-founder of the Dada movement.
