In his solo performance, the accordionist Andreas Borregaard brings repertoire and creation into dialogue. From excerpts of Johann Sebastian Bach’s French Suite No. 5 to the fragile textures of Bent Sørensen, his music explores what remains and what fades away. With the landmark work of modern musical creation My Favourite Piece is the Goldberg Variations by Philip Venables and Ted Huffman, the accordion carries a narrative between speech, memory and virtuosity in a concert where musical forms and life trajectories emotionally collide.
