Performing alone on stage, the accordionist Andreas Borregaard presents a programme that brings repertoire and creation into dialogue. From excerpts of Johann Sebastian Bach’s French Suite No. 5 to the fragile textures of Bent Sørensen, the music explores what endures and what fades away. With My Favourite Piece is the Goldberg Variations by Philip Venables and Ted Huffman, a landmark work of recent musical creation, the accordion becomes a vehicle for narrative, between speech, memory and virtuosity. A concert in which musical forms and life trajectories intersect with emotion.
