Sonic Temple once again transforms Saint Paul’s Church into a vast chamber for electronic and percussive resonance. At the heart of the evening, a tribute to Laurie Spiegel brings to life The Expanding Universe —from the 1980 landmark album of the same name— on the pioneering loudspeaker orchestra of electronic music GRM Acousmonium. Ensemble 0 extends the resonances with an instrumental transcription of Drums (1975), alongside new works by Mica Levi and Claire Rousay. In parallel to these sonic constellations, Aho Ssan invites to a more elemental listening experience: electronic masses, physical intensity, and suspended architectures of sound.
