Sonic Temple once again transforms Saint Paul’s Church into a vast chamber for electronic and percussive resonance. At the heart of the evening, a tribute to Laurie Spiegel brings The Expanding Universe—from the landmark 1980 album of the same name—to life on the GRM Acousmonium, the pioneering loudspeaker orchestra of electronic music. Ensemble 0 extends its resonances with an instrumental transcription of Drums (1975), alongside new works by Mica Levi and Claire Rousay. Set against these sonic constellations, Aho Ssan proposes a more elemental listening experience: electronic masses, physical intensity, and suspended architectures of sound.
