Recipient of the 2025 Siemens Ensemble Prize, the Strasbourg-based collective lovemusic welcomes English composer and vocalist Laura Bowler for a new collaboration.
The Sad Album is a journey into the darkest, most absurd, and tender corners of grief. Bringing together Laura Bowler and the musicians of lovemusic on stage, this performance invites us into a living room filled with personal stories — imbued with frustration, rage, and moments of complicity.
The Sad Album is a multiplicity of griefs. It’s messy, beautiful, triggering, touching.
The Sad Album is A struggle to get to the realness of grief.
The Sad Album is an attempt to unmask grief and get to its core.
The Sad Album is an hour of controlled mess about the impossibility of defining how to grieve.
The Sad Album is absence.
The Sad Album is a new music theatre piece exploring the journeys and masks of grief.
The Sad Album examines how we run from (or deal with) grief.
The Sad Album is being happy to talk about being sad.
