Battered puppets, disjointed bodies, emerging voices: with Retors paniques, Renaud Herbin imagines a string theatre gone awry, driven by percussion and breath. On stage, Marta Pereira brings a community of small and delicate figures back to life, while Anna Fiveiska punctuates their jolts, falls, and surges. Softness is neither gentle nor sentimental here: it becomes a force of resistance against fear. From these tiny beings, hanging by a thread, a ritual performance of sounds, gestures, and bodies is born as a way of learning how to rise again.
