On stage, two pianos and twelve dancers lock into a tightly driven rhythmic language, where music and movement collide and rebound. A wall cuts across the stage and becomes a performer in its own right—by turns a choreographic surface, a percussive body, and a mental landscape inspired by the Vosges. Conceived by Mathilde Monnier and Eve Risser for the Ballet of the Opéra national du Rhin, the piece harnesses a collective virtuosity, like an orchestra of moving bodies. The wall redistributes movement, opens or constrains trajectories, and turns the stage into a field of experimentation where bodies compose with the obstacle.
