Musica presents a new series of morning concerts—designed for early risers or those wishing to begin the day through attentive listening, resonance, and sympathetic vibration. Each piece is thoughtfully chosen for this moment.
New York–based experimental singer and musician Lesley Flanigan has developed a distinct practice: she creates minimalist, sculpture-like electronic instruments—often built with microphones and speakers—and combines them with her own voice. Her music explores the physical properties of amplified sound, particularly its imperfections, while maintaining a subtle, almost acoustic quality. In Strasbourg, she will gently infuse the cloister of the Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Protestant Church with resonant sound.
