An alphorn recital at daybreak?
Trumpeter Christian Pruvost and trombonist Patrick Charbonnier present their musical explorations on the contemporary alphorn. Joranima, the name of their duo, refers to the joran, a wind from the Jura mountains that sweeps across the lake-dotted landscapes below. In great gusts, like distant echoes and with powerful resonance, these high-mountain winds slip into Strasbourg’s historic Petite France district at dawn—for a novel experience, with the city as its stage.
