Premiered with success at the Avignon Festival in July, Joris Lacoste’s latest project is a ‘pop-liturgical’ performance exploring the diversity of our ways of living and experiencing the world.
Nexus de l’Adoration imagines a new kind of worship for our times—a religion of radical inclusivity that embraces all forms of life (and non-life), respects every way of being, and celebrates everything: from an e-cigarette to a cluster of galaxies, a mitochondrion to Jul’s latest hit, a deer in the mist to a multiple orgasm, Simone Biles’ triple-double to a fake moustache, a motion of censure to a saucy kebab. This radical multiplicity defines our era. Let us come together to invent the ceremony that honours it.
