AI IN MUSIC
Artificial intelligence is making headlines. Having already established itself as writer, photographer, and graphic designer, it now emerges as musician and composer. But what are the artistic implications?
Should we compose with AI or keep our distance? Is it a sign of a cultural revolution, a genuine rupture, or just a lot of noise? Philosophers from around the world will gather in Strasbourg to debate its uses and powers.
Featuring plenary lectures by Lydia Goehr (Columbia University, New York) and Alexander Schubert (Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hamburg).
The conference continues
Fri, Sept 26 — 9am–6pm30
Cité de la Musique et de la Danse
An international conference organised in partnership with the European Network for the Philosophy of Music (ENPM) and the Centre de Recherche et d’Expérimentation sur l’Acte Artistique (CREAA) at the University of Strasbourg.
