This double recital explores different facets of the writing of Georges Aperghis, a pioneer in treating instrumental language as dramatic gesture. In Obstinate (2017–18), the double bass becomes a body under tension, engaged in an incisive solo. Black Light (2019) opens a field of dark resonances, shaped by scordaturas and deep harmonics. Finally, Trompe-oreille (2026), for trumpet and electronics, takes the form of a sonic ritual in which the performer summons multiple worlds, human and animal, in an almost shamanic intensity.
