Deux créations mondiales et une œuvre culte : Roomful of Teeth fait dialoguer Alyssa Regent, Florent Ghys et Caroline Shaw dans un programme qui célèbre la voix comme matière dramatique, rythmique, collective.

Roomful of Teeth brings together two world premieres and a landmark work from the contemporary vocal repertoire. With Rumors of war, Alyssa Regent explores the tensions between doubt, fear, the desire for self-assertion, and the search for inner reconciliation, in a dramatic dialogue between individual voices and choir. Florent Ghys, meanwhile, draws on the sounds of French and English—interjections, onomatopoeia, everyday noises—to shape Gourmandise, a jubilant vocal piece combining precise writing, humor, and a video component. To round off the programme, Caroline Shaw’s sublime Partita makes a welcome return to Musica, radiating an irresistible choral energy.
