Drawing on encounters with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals, as well as on her own experience of illness, Violaine Lochu imagines a multidisciplinary project around songs of protection. Voices, graphic scores and costumes come together to form a secular ritual, nourished by intimate stories, spiritual traditions and minimalist aesthetics. These songs seek to create an inner space in which to protect oneself, remain present to the world and form a body with others.
