La Relève

In 2024, five people in their thirties and forties contributed to the festival programme. Some were longstanding audience members, while others had only recently discovered Musica; some had strong artistic preferences, others an insatiable curiosity. Brought together over previous editions, these individuals from diverse backgrounds found common ground in a shared conviction: now more than ever, artistic programming must engage with societal issues and affirm the political and social role of art.

Working collectively under the name La Relève, they contributed to three artistic projects addressing specific social concerns: making music-making financially accessible, amplifying outspoken decolonial voices, raising the visibility of influential women artists and creating opportunities to meet them.
