Students from Sonic Space—the creation department of the Musikhochschule Basel—present a chamber music programme of key works by Georges Aperghis. As in Zig Bang, where words, breaths, and sounds collide and recombine, his music blurs the boundary between language and sound. A writing that is agile and mobile, born of play, gesture, and listening, and carried here by a new generation of performers. The concert continues with a conversation with the composer, on the occasion of the publication of Composer avec langues (Éditions MF), a book of interviews with Stéphane Roth.
