Georges Aperghis Day

Musica dedicates an entire day to Georges Aperghis. Concerts, a film screening and a public conversation shed light on a body of work in which music, theatre, voice and gesture are continually reinvented. Three concerts frame the programme: Tell Tales for vocal ensemble and viola; a double recital by Marco Blaauw and Florentin Ginot; and a programme performed by students from the Musikhochschule Basel. The screening of Éric Darmon’s documentary Un mot d’après l’autre (2026) offers further insight into Aperghis’s artistic path and his relationship to language, while the day also marks the release of Composer avec langues (Éditions MF), a book of conversations with Stéphane Roth.
