Ahead of the second performance of Nexus of adoration, we invite you to discover the work of Joris Lacoste in an artist talk moderated by Barbara Engelhardt.
French author and stage director Joris Lacoste has been writing for theatre and radio since 1996, and creating his own productions since 2003. Drawing on literature, theatre, visual arts, music, and sound poetry, his work asserts a strong research dimension. He has initiated two major collective projects: W, which develops critical tools in the fields of performance, theatre, and dance; and the Encyclopédie de la parole, which explores oral forms across disciplines and gave rise to the Suites chorales series, including Suite no. 4 premiered at Musica in 2020. In 2023, the festival also presented his adaptation of Luciano Berio’s A-Ronne, a work driven by the desire to stage heterogeneous discourses without hierarchy — a project he now extends in a wholly new form with Nexus of adoration.
presented with Le Maillon, Théâtre de Strasbourg – Scène européenne
